LEWISTON – Calling all babies! Baby Rhyme Time for prewalkers will begin at the Lewiston Public Library at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays starting Nov. 3.

Adults will sit with the child in their laps and jiggle, tickle and act out rhymes and songs presented on a flip chart. The program lasts from 15 to 20 minutes and afterward parents are encouraged to stay and chat while their babies play.

The sessions are free and open to all. They are an opportunity for adults and toddlers to make new friends. Learning rhymes helps to develop early language skills.

The library will continue to host storytimes for toddlers up to age 3 on Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and storytimes for 3 to 5 year olds Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Free parking ticket validation is available for the Centreville Parking Garage on Canal Street.

For more information call the Children’s Room of the Lewiston Public Library at 784-0135, ext. 4.
