WILTON – Wiltona Women’s Club met at the home of Jean Rand on Oct. 12.

Twelve members attended the meeting where Shannon Smith, guest speaker, talked about “Blueberry Festivals – Past and Future.” Plans are under way for the 2005 events.

Smith reported that an application has been sent to bring the “Vietnam Wall” to Wilton during the festival. The theme will be “Tribute to Our Military.” The Shriners will return and local organizations will march in the parade.

An art show may also be held. Advertising will be sent throughout New England.

Following the program, members were served refreshments by hostesses Jean Rand and Liz Toothaker.

A business meeting was held after refreshments. Anne Frary was voted in as treasurer. Plans were made for the benefit tea at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Wilton Congregational Church. Dr. Gunter, guest speaker, will talk about mammography.

Members have been asked to bring guests. Hostesses for the tea will be Joyce Orff and Alice Lake.
