The Lewiston legislative delegation has worked hard during this session to improve the quality of life for our citizens. One freshman legislator has proven to be the energetic spark for the rest of us.
Rep. Elaine Makas, with her high energy, determination and dedication to the people of Lewiston, has spent endless hours working on the Dirigo health program, has helped to change the school funding formula to benefit students in Lewiston and has tirelessly worked to improve the environment by cleaning up the Androscoggin River.
I believe citizens of District 71 in Lewiston should return my esteemed colleague, Elaine Makas, to the Maine Legislature to continue her effective service to the hardworking people and senior citizens of Lewiston.
Rep. Lillian LaFontaine O’Brien, Lewiston
