LEWISTON – Gerald Francis, 62, a resident of Whitney Brook Lane in Canton, died Thursday, Oct. 28, at CMMC where he had been a patient for three weeks.
He was born on March 15, 1942, in Norway, the son of Estill and Frances Truman Francis and attended the Norway schools. He was employed by the local shoe shops, pipeline, powerline and was also a woodsman. On April 1, 1972, he married Anastasia Tarashuck in Norway. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, of Canton; three sons, Shannon Francis and his wife, Tracy, of West Paris, James Francis, of Waterford and Shawn Francis, of Hartford; three daughters, Evelyn St. Laurent and her husband, Paul, of Hartford, Vickielynn Rice Kimball and her husband, Manny, of Hartford and Syrinna Hall and her husband, Chyenne, of West Paris; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Juanita Libby.
