Over the past two years, Maine has been in a fiscal dilemma. Trying to balance the state budget without threatening vital services for our citizens has been close to impossible. We need leaders in Augusta whose experiences, integrity and ethics will be useful in the coming years. One such leader is Sen. Peggy Rotundo.
When MaineCare was threatened by huge deficits, Peggy increased the efficiency of those services and saved the benefits. She restored physical and occupational care as well as social worker services and psychological treatment. She also worked hard to protect the Maine Rx Plus Program for seniors and the disabled. She helped balance the budget while putting people first.
Lewiston needs a strong leader like Sen. Peggy Rotundo.
I have known Peggy Rotundo for many years and her commitment to all of the citizens of Lewiston is steadfast. I fully support Sen. Rotundo.
