SANFORD – Liane Marie Dupuis and Jonathan Cory Penley were married on June 12 at Holy Family Church in Sanford. The Rev. Tim Nadeau performed the double ring ceremony. A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus in Sanford. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Aruba.

The bride is the daughter of Jacques and Sharon Dupuis of Sanford. The bridegroom is the son of Brenda Penley of Sanford and Garfield Penley of Dixfield.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless satin gown with embroidery and beadwork and a split front. She carried a bouquet of red Star Gazer lilies, roses, carnations and baby’s breath.

The maid of honor was Rebecca Williams, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sherry Dupuis, Kristen Penley and Bath Penley, sisters-in-law of the bride, and Elin Zaikowski. Junior bridesmaid was Monique Dupuis and flower girl was Sandrine Berthiaux, both goddaughters of the bride.

Best man was Joel Penley, the bridegroom’s twin brother. Groomsmen were Garfield Penley, the bridegroom’s brother, Paul Dupuis and Marc Dupuis, the bridegroom’s brothers-in-law and Andrew Lupien.

The bride graduated from Sanford High School and Southern Maine Community College. She is employed at York County Federal Credit Union and is currently opening a dance school.

The bridegroom graduated from Dirigo High School and Southern Maine Technical College. He is the produce manager at Shaw’s Supermarket in Biddeford.

The couple is residing in Springvale.
