I would like to know how it is that the “liberal” press is so un- “liberal” that it cannot present the news as it stands, if it has anything in it related to politics. Why do the anchors and news reporters seem to think they have the right of “interpreting,” slanting or editing (omitting) facts, according to their whim or bias?

I am, personally, so tired of the twists, insinuations, nuances and inflections of voice and expression displayed in derision of President Bush and his administration, presented unabashedly with their interpretations (as if we, the citizens of the United States, need their “superior” understanding to translate to our poor intellects the “real” meaning behind what is being reported).

It appears to me that the Democratic press assumes they have a much higher position in our society than is due them. They seem to have respect for none but those with whom they agree politically.

Since they meet together, on television, to “discuss” their bias, they seem to think viewers will assume it is not happening. We are not all that easily fooled.

Do these men and women, who have been entrusted with freedom of the press, really imagine that their opinions and interpretations of our news are more important to us than the actual facts?

Or, are they conniving to try to foist on us their own political inclinations? I believe the latter, and I resent it!
