Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for someone who repairs and services Kero-Sun Heaters in the Rumford area. I have a small one I would like to have cleaned and serviced for the upcoming winter season. I’d really appreciate any help you can provide in finding a service person. – A Rumford reader.

Answer: Contact John Wallace at 703 Crescent Ave., in the Virginia section of Rumford, (207) 364-2185, who says he services these type of heaters and has been doing so for over 25 years. Wallace says he stocks parts and accessories. You can drop your heater off any time. Wallace has a garage beside his home, with a big Kero-Sun sign that you can’t miss and there is a drop-off area.

Dear Sun Spots: I was born and raised in Auburn. I now live in Massachusetts and read the Sun Journal daily, especially Sun Spots. I wish our local paper had the same type of a column.

Can you please help me in locating a knitting pattern for a hooded sweatshirt type sweater with pockets? It doesn’t matter if there is a zipper or not. My older teens are asking for me to knit them each one, and believe me, that’s an honor. I have searched high and low for a pattern, but being from Maine and especially that area, I am sure that there are friendly people out there that can assist me. Please send any information to A. Egan, P.O. Box 431, West Brookfield, MA 01585. I truly appreciate any help that comes my way. Thank you so much for your column. – Anita Egan, West Brookfield, Mass.

Dear Sun Spots: I am trying to locate an Anna Pelletier who worked at Grand City in Brunswick in the food service area. If anyone can help me, it would be very much appreciated. I can be reached at (207) 212-7989. Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I know a young mother/student with a 4-year-old daughter who has recently learned how to knit. The woman enjoys it and is excited about getting into this hobby/craft this winter; however, her financial resources are limited.

If there is someone out there in the reading audience who has yarn they no longer want or need, it would be greatly appreciated by this young woman. My telephone number is (207) 782-1951. Thank you. – Bernadette B., Lewiston.
