LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department Multi-Purpose Center site at 145 Birch Street is offering an after-school program beginning Monday, Nov. 1.

The program provides structured, quality supervision for Lewiston children in kindergarten through grade 6. Activities include arts and crafts, free daily snacks provided by the Child and Adult Care Food Program, recreational and athletic programs, inside and outside play, homework time, and Lots to Gardens and community service projects.

The program will run through May from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday on school days only.

Registration forms may be obtained Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center and must be completely filled out prior to a child’s starting the program.

Funding for the program is provided through a Community Development Block Grant and Empower Lewiston. More information may be obtained by calling Jeanne at 784-2926, extension 204.
