What an insult by David Farmer, Sun Journal editorial page editor, to all the Lois Snowe-Mello supporters who wrote letters to the editor. In his words, “fill the in-basket.” In the Oct. 25 edition, Mr. Farmer goes on to say that we are all good letter writers, that Lois motivated us to do it. Also, that just because we wrote letters didn’t make her qualified.

Well, let me tell the Sun Journal a thing or two. I do not get coerced into supporting anybody. I support Lois Snowe-Mello because she is the best qualified. I support her because I know her personally, and I know how hard she works and what she stands for.

Saying that Neria Douglass has a better understanding of the issues important to voters is not plausible. Unless Mr. Farmer went out and interviewed all her supporters, he wouldn’t know that. I wonder if he actually knows the candidate he is supporting.

Mr. Farmer has the right to support anybody he chooses. To insult people who support someone else is taking the lowest road.
