The occasions on which I have found myself able to agree with anything written by the Sun Journal editorial staff have been countless; that is, there haven’t been any.
Judy Meyer’s endorsement of President Bush (Oct. 27) was not only shocking and astonishing, but downright uplifting as well. I had completely written the Sun Journal off as a mere extension of the left-wing, Democratic Party and frequently wondered why they just didn’t change the name of the publication to the Lewiston Democrat.
At any rate, congratulations to the Sun Journal for having had the vision and awareness of the dangerous world we live in, and for having the courage to endorse President Bush for a second term. Meyer is right on target; Bush is the only choice. George W. Bush is a workhorse.
John Kerry is a one-trick pony (Vietnam, Vietnam, Vietnam), who attempts to pass himself off as a showhorse. Just ask yourselves, “Which horse do we want pulling America’s wagons for the next four years”?
The answer should be clear to all but the blindest of the blind.
