Rep. Sawin Millett on Tuesday held fast to his House District 95 seat, narrowly beating challenger Roy Gedat of Norway.
“It’s a relief to be re-elected,” Millett, a Republican from Waterford, said the following day. “It was a long night and much closer than I’d hoped it to be.”
Millett beat Gedat, a Democrat, with 2,460 to 2,366 votes.
Gedat’s run for a seat on the Maine House of Representatives was his first.
Millett said Wednesday he is looking forward serving in the Legislature, and expects tax reform to be a top priority.
