LEWISTON – The Atrium Art Gallery at Lewiston-Auburn College will sponsor Area Artists 2005, a biennial, open juried exhibition open to visual artists in all media who live or work in Androscoggin, Franklin, or Oxford counties.

Artists may submit up to two works to be juried; there is no entry fee. Delivery dates are Friday, Dec. 3, and Saturday, Dec. 4 at Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

All media will be considered from paintings, drawings, prints and photography to works in clay, fiber, wood, metal and other 3-dimensional media.

Jurors for the exhibition are Paul Faria and David Little.

Faria is the Arts in Education associate for the Maine Arts Commission. He is also curator for the commission’s “Arts in the Capitol” exhibitions that feature work from all areas of the state. Little is a landscape painter represented by Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers in Freeport. In 1998, he was awarded the prestigious Carina House Artists’ Fellowship in Monhegan.

The exhibition will open in the Atrium Gallery Jan. 23 and continue through March 5. The opening reception will be 1 to 3 p.m.Sunday, Jan. 23.
