GRAY – Blues guitarist Tab Benoit will celebrate the release of his new “Whiskey Store” album in concerts at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, and Friday, Nov. 12, at The Loose Moose Saloon.

Benoit and Jimmy Thackery teamed up to record the album that was released in February; Thackery will not be performing at the Nov. 11 show.

Since the album’s release, Benoit and Thackery have performed together as Whiskey Store in a tour that included a stop at the Unity Centre for Performing Arts in Unity.

The nine-track set is an even hotter version of the guitar duo’s 2002 recording, according to a spokesman.

Besides material from the studio set, this nine-track, live recording features a few tracks from each artist’s solo recordings.

Also featured on “Whiskey Store” are saxophonist Jimmy Carpenter, keyboardist Ken Faltinson, bassist Carl Dufrene and drummers Darryl White and Mark Stutso.

Concert tickets are $12 in advance; $16 day of show. The Loose Moose Saloon is at 61 Portland Road. For more information, people can call 657-7171.
