OXFORD – Shawn A. Bennett, 7, a resident of 104 Cheryl Lane, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Nov. 2, as a result of a tragic fire at his home.
He was born in Lewiston Jan. 6, 1997, the son of Neil Gephart and Kathy D. Bennett. Shawn had also previously resided in Lisbon where he attended preschool and kindergarten before moving to Oxford. While in Oxford, Shawn attended Oxford Elementary School where he was a second grade student.
Shawn enjoyed telling his fishing stories, and loved people that thought he was Harry Potter. He also liked the girls especially, blondes. His favorite holiday was Halloween.
Besides his parents of Oxford, he is survived by his maternal grandmother with whom he had resided earlier in life, Irene Bennett, of Lisbon; one brother, Joseph N. Gephart, and one sister, Andrea F. Bennett; and many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, and great-uncles.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ronald S. Bennett, one sister, Cassandra G. Bennett, and a great-uncle, Gary Bennett.
