MINOT – A woman escaped without injury early Monday when a tractor-trailer slammed through the side of her home on Route 121.

Alma Palmer, who was awake at the time, was not hurt when the rig plowed into her living room about 2 a.m., state police said. The truck driver escaped with only minor scrapes.

The truck driver said he swerved to avoid an oncoming car when he lost control of his semi and slammed into Palmer’s house, state police reported.

Further details about the wreck were not available.

Palmer could not be reached for comment Monday night.
