JAY – Vandals hit the International Paper parking lot Friday, police reported, with 10 vehicles having their windows smashed.
An estimated $1,400 in damage was done to vehicles in IP’s lower parking lot on Riley Road, Police Chief Larry White Sr. said. Detective Russell Adams is investigating.
Officer Roderick Small is investigating the report of a vehicle having a rock thrown through a window Saturday while parked at Steppin’ Out on Main Street, he said.
In another incident at Spruce Mountain Ski Area, Officer Troy Young is also looking into tow ropes reportedly cut in three places and damage to an emergency switch, White said.
The criminal mischief was reported Sunday, but police said they believe it happened during the summer.
White said damage is estimated at $1,150.
