NORTH NEW PORTLAND – The “Odds and Ends” of North New Portland meet the first Thursday of every month, except January, February and April, to work on crafts.
On Oct. 7 the women donated 34 baby hats, an afghan, six pair of mittens and booties and 10 pair of hand-knit socks to Stitches from the Heart.
Stitches is a nonprofit organization that makes items for preemie babies and mittens and other items that are donated to foster children. The items have been sent to various Maine hospitals.
