LEWISTON – The Visiting Artist Gallery at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is showing the artwork of Paul Boucher of Lewiston during November and December.

Boucher is a native of Maine and has resided here all his life. He is an avid lover of the Maine outdoors.

Art is an integral part of his life. His style combines a sense of realism with his own imagination. Boucher’s blend of colors and intricate detail seems to have a magical appeal for all ages. He enjoys studying wildlife in its natural habitat and spends countless hours of research and study on each painting he does. Some of his favorite subjects are wolves, loons, eagles and other Maine birds.

Boucher has been painting for more than 20 years. He has studied under various artists, but he is essentially self-taught, which has enabled him to remain true to his own style.

Paintings by Boucher can be seen in art exhibits across New England. Collectors own his paintings across the country and abroad. His paintings are reproduced as greeting cards and covers for Maine Fish and Wildlife magazines. L.L. Bean has also handled his prints.

Boucher has entered art shows and competitions in the New England area for many years and has won numerous awards.

He resides in Lewiston with his wife, Susan. He has three daughters and four granddaughters.
