WEST PARIS – The town of West Paris will hold a Veterans Day ceremony Thursday, starting with a parade.

Units will line up at the Agnes Gray School parking lot at 10:30 a.m., and the march will start at 10:45. The parade will proceed from the school, along Main Street to the veterans monument at the corner of Maple Street.

The Rev. Lloyd Waterhouse will give the invocation and benediction. Claire Ryerson will recite a prayer written many years ago by her husband, Emery. There will also be a speaker and a wreath-laying ceremony.

Joining the parade are Lisa Kurtz and her majorettes, Cub Scout Pack 133, Boy Scout Troop 133, Brownie Scout Troop 1496, Junior Girl Scout Troop 1496, veterans of Ring-McKeen American Legion Post 151 and its auxiliary, and Larry Conant as flag bearer.
