SKOWHEGAN – Mary Louise Hobert, 80, of Wilton, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 9, at the Woodlawn Rehabilitation & Nursing Home.

She was born, April 24, 1924, in Farmington, a daughter of David C. and Stella (Lane) Baker. She attended Wilton schools graduating from Wilton Academy.

In 1948, she married J.W. Gabbert, he died in 1988.

She worked the majority of her life at Bass Shoe in Wilton. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and reading.

She was later remarried to Calvin Hobert in North Anson in 1994. Together they enjoyed traveling to Florida, for the winter. Her greatest pastime however, was being a homemaker to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin, of Wilton; a daughter, Juanita O’Clary and her husband, Michael, of Hawaii; three grandchildren, Thaddeus, Joshua and Benjamin O’Clary; a great-grandson, Thaddeus K. O’Clary; a brother, Bob Baker, of Weld; two sisters, Jacqueline Austin and her husband, Herbert, of Wilton and Beverly Macomber and her husband, Raymond, of East Wilton; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Richard in 2004.
