LEWISTON – Edmond Joseph Dube Jr., 66, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, at home with his loving family by his side, after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston Dec. 31, 1937, the son of Edmond Sr. and Diana (Bergeron) Dube. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1961. “Ed” married Marilyn Victoria (Giustina) Dube Dec. 13, 1968.

Mr. Dube graduated from Oak Hill Adult Education in 1985, and worked as a journeyman oil burner technician for many years. He retired from Lewiston Bottle Gas in 2000.

He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn Dube; four children, Edmond Dube III and his wife, Melissa, Victor Dube and his wife, Elaine, Christopher Dube and Jessica Chasse and Kerry Flaherty and her husband, Peter; his siblings, Marie Ridley and her husband, Richard Jr., Patricia Bechard and her husband, Joseph, Eli Dube, Henry Dube and his wife, Beulah and Armand Dube and his wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Daniel Martel, Siera and Dylan Dube, Victoria, Anthony and Alexander Dube, Christopher Dube, Gavin Chasse, Peter and Kayliegh Flaherty; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Dube was predeceased by his parents, and a daughter, Laura Ann Dube.
