RUMFORD – The Western Maine and Upper Kennebec Valley chapters of the Small Woodlot Owners Association of Maine will host a tour of a shiitake mushroom farm on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The tour, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, will be held at 6 Potato House Road in Rumford, just off Route 232. Questions should be directed to Mary Burr at 587-4068 or Judy Berg at 336-2396.

To reach the farm from Route 2 in Rumford Center, follow Route 232 to Abbots Mills Road and follow the SWOAM signs to the farm. From the south, take Route 26 to Route 232 and go through Woodstock and Milton to Abbots Mills Road. The farm is located next to Toshimobile.
