TURNER – Officials from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office are warning Turner residents that a convicted sex offender has moved to town.

William Seth Jones, 26, recently moved to Seaward Road, police said.

Jones served less than a year behind bars after he was convicted in 2001 of having sexual contact with a boy under 14 years of age.

Sheriff’s officials say they do not want residents to harass or torment Jones. They just want neighbors to be aware of his presence and report any suspicious behavior.
