MANCHESTER, N.H. – Doris J. (Bouchard) Dion, 72, of 30 Hilltop Ave., Lewiston passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, while being treated for a brief illness at Catholic Medical Center with her family by her side throughout.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 31, 1931, the daughter of Louis J. and Mary Lou (Dumond) Bouchard. She was a life-long resident of Lewiston. She was married to Normand R. Dion on May 29, 1954, and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.

They enjoyed their many trips to the mountains in New Hampshire and their outings on the Maine coast. They especially enjoyed their trip to Europe in 1981.

She also enjoyed watching birds, making puzzles and going out to breakfast once a week with her girlfriends.

She took great pride in her family and was a wonderful wife and mother to her five children.

She is survived by her husband, Normand R. Dion, of Lewiston; two sons, Mark Dion and his wife, Cheryl, of Portland and Tom Dion and his wife, Stacey, of Derry, N.H.; a daughter, Monique Schreiber and her husband, John, of Lewiston, a son-in-law, Steve Beaudin, of Lewiston; a daughter, Diane St. Pierre and her husband, Marc, of Lewiston; two sisters, Mrs. George (Bunny) Wagner, of Maryland, and Mrs. Ray (Rita) Thibault, of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Ashley and Brittany Dion, Ben and David Schreiber, Dana and Kara Beaudin and Ally and Sara St. Pierre; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne Beaudin Feb. 3, 2002.
