PORTLAND – Carla A. King-Graves, 57, a resident of Highland Terrace in North Monmouth, died Thursday, Nov. 11, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a prolonged illness.

She was born Nov. 13, 1946 in Lewiston, the daughter of Major Nelson V. and Dora (West) King. She was a graduate of Derby High School in Derby, Kan.

She married Dean Graves on Sept. 18, 1979 in Colbran, Colo.

She worked for 15 years at North Center Food Service in Augusta as a customer service representative.

She enjoyed photography, the Beatles, and traveling, anything from day trips to coast-to-coast and border-to-border.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 25 years, her family and her friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dean, of North Monmouth; her mother, Dora King, of North Monmouth; a sister, Sheila Sanford, of North Monmouth; two nephews, Matthew Dean White and Mark Allen White, of Wichita, Kan.; a grandniece, Katee White, also of Wichita, Kan.; an aunt, Ruth Arlene King, of Portland; and an uncle, Afton Berry King, of California.
