AUBURN – Auburn Youth Hockey’s Day’s Jewelers Peewee Travelers earned 2 victories during the weekend. Saturday, Tim Millett tallied a hat trick and an assist to lead Auburn to an 8-2 win over Casco Bay. Cody Russell added 2 goals and an assist. Other scorers: Dylan Nadeau, 1 goal, 2 assists; Jordan Haskell, 1g, 2a; Kolby Arnold, 1g, 1a; Brendan Giambra, 3a; Matt Cote, 2a; Mat Gordon, 1a. Goalie Cody Violette made 12 saves. . . Sunday, Violette stopped another 13 shots as Auburn nipped Brewer 3-1. Nadeau popped 2 goals and Millett the other. Assists went to Russell, Cote and Gordon.

Auburn Peewee Two earned a tie and a win in weekend contests. Auburn and Waterville skated to a 2-2 deadlock Saturday at Ingersoll Arena. Dan Poisson and Elijah Lamothe scored the Auburn goals, with Josh Chouinard assisting. Jacob Lapierre made several fine saves in goal. Waterville, scoring late to tie the contest, got goals from Bill Blake and Matt Woodbury, the latter also drawing an assist. Cody Thibodeau tended goal. . . Sunday, Auburn beat Mid-Coast 5-2 as Tom Greco notched 2 goals. Zack Knapp, Lamothe and Ethan Ward netted 1 each. Assists went to Chouinard (2), Roy, Cam Bennett, Derek Gagne, Ward and Greco. Jacob Lapierre donned the pads. . . Charlie Dyche and Peter Murrel scored for Mid-Coast, with assists credited to Murrel and Dan Pinette. Chris McIntal served as goalie.

Auburn Mites squeezed out a 3-2 win over Damariscotta as Ryan Lavoie, Kyle Radziszewski and David Despins each netted a goal. Credited with helpers were Jacob Simard, Kaleb Bridgman and Cam Berube. Conor Drouin was the winning goalie.

Junior Eddies win

AUBURN – Shawn Heard registered 2 goals and an assist as the Auburn Junior Eddies edged Falmouth 6-5 in the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League. Also lighting the lamp were Billy Brewster, CJ Bergeron, Matt Gordon and Shane Hearn. Receiving assists were Brewster, Tim Millett, Michael St. Denis and Matt Reed. Greg St. Denis and Adam Lerette shared the net duties.
