FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots on Tuesday signed defensive back Omare Lowe to their practice squad and released safety Scott Farley.

Lowe, 26, was drafted in the fifth round by the Miami Dolphins in 2002 out of Washington. Farley, 24, was signed to New England’s practice squad Nov. 3. He is from Williamstown and is a Williams College graduate. This spring, he played for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe.
