AUBURN – The Woman’s Literary Union annual holiday fair and lunch will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Horatio Foss mansion, 19 Elm St. There will be tables of items, baked goods, raffles and a luncheon.

Church event

AUBURN – Members and friends of Danville Union Church are making last minute preparations for the church’s annual holiday fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Danville Grange Hall, Danville Junction.

The event will feature craft items, a white elephant table and an angel table. Several special items will be raffled and lunch will be available.

AUBURN – A holiday craft sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Chapman House, 41 Pleasant St. There will be homemade crafts, baked goods, candy, white elephant table, raffles and lunch. Proceeds will benefit the activity department. The Chapman House was formerly the Auburn Home for Aged Women.

Let It Snow

LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will hold its fourth annual Let It Snow Craft and Gift Fair at 130 East Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. There will be more than 20 craft and gift vendors. The fair has plenty of free parking and free admission. Hot dogs, baked goods and raffles will be sold in addition to the crafts. Joys of Christmas

LISBON FALLS – The Joys of Christmas Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Lisbon Falls Methodist Church, 26 School St.

A luncheon of beef stew, bread, beverage and gingerbread will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost will be $5 for adults; $2, children.

Yule event

LITCHFIELD – St. Leo’s Church, routes 9/126, will have a Christmas craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20.

The event will feature door prizes, raffles, craft tables, white elephant table, food table, 50/50, children’s toys, face painting and photos with Santa and Mickey.

There will be coffee, doughnuts and muffins in the morning and chili, beans and hot dog, hot dogs with chips and soda, and sandwiches for lunch.

Holiday fair

NEW GLOUCESTER – The women of the First Congregational Church of New Gloucester will hold their annual holiday fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. Handcrafted needlework, baked goods and candy will be offered for sale. In addition, there will be an extensive collection of white elephant items from local households.

A special children’s activity room will be open from 10 to noon, staffed by the church’s sixth-grade youths, the “New Kids on the Block.”

There will be coffee and doughnuts in the morning, followed by a luncheon featuring beef barbecue on roll.

The festivities will end with drawings for the winners of two raffle prizes – a professional-quality roaster pan filled with holiday meal trimmings and a handcrafted afghan with a gourmet coffee basket. The church’s Women’s Evening Guild and Ladies Circle join in sponsoring the fair. All are welcome. For more information, call 926-3260.
