The Sun Journal is launching a major investigation, and we need help from our readers.

We’re looking for the most spectacular, very best outdoor Christmas decorations in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties.

No snowmen or inflatable Santas can be missed. No lights should be left unhung. Wooden reindeer herds are welcome.

We’ll be accepting nominations for the best displays, and then we’ll send out a team of hard-nosed reporters and photographers to find the best decorations. We’ll photograph the winners for all to see and help everyone find the houses that look great.

If you go all out for Christmas or have a neighbor who does, we want to know by Dec. 1.
