LEWISTON – Roland A. Boucher, 89, of 40 Prescott St., died Wednesday morning, Nov. 17, at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in Montreal, Canada, on Aug. 25, 1915, the son of Gaudias and Marie Louise (Milton) Boucher. Prior to his retirement he worked as a supervisor for the Continental Mill. He was the husband of the former, Jeanne Lajoie who died on Sept. 24, 1997.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. He was a founding member of the Past Time Club where he was a former bar keeper and a member of the cribbage league. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by two sons, Leo Boucher and Lucien Boucher, both of Lewiston; three daughters, Louise and her husband, Michael Barrett, of Lewiston, Annette Champagne, of Lewiston, and Aline and her husband, Marc Lavalliere, of Lewiston; one sister, Simone Healey, of Auburn; five grandchildren, Michael Barrett, Kevin Champagne, Beth Champagne, Nicole and Katie Lavalliere; two great-grandchildren, Amber Barrett, and Kiley Champagne.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Marie Louise, two brothers, Henri Boucher and Alphonse Lafleur, three grandchildren, Ryan Barrett, Donald Champagne; and Laure Champagne.
