LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norland Grangers will have a Thanksgiving program when they meet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the hall in East Livermore. The charter will be draped in memory of deceased members.

Cheerleaders

FARMINGTON – A cheerleader meeting for grades 9 to 12 will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Mt. Blue High School. Cheering try-outs will take place from 2:15 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the high school. More information may be obtained by calling 645-0998.

Winter coats

WILTON – Coats from the Salvation Army’s “Coats For Kids” program are now available in the Wilton area for anyone who needs a winter coat. The coats are available at two locations: from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday at St. Luke’s Church on High Street and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Western Maine Community Action Council office in Cousineau Plaza on Route 2.

The coats are available in different sizes, including some adult coats. All coats have been dry-cleaned and are in wearable condition. They are free.

Crafts fair Dec. 4

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association has scheduled its annual Christmas crafts fair for Saturday, Dec. 4, in Olsen Student Center at the University of Maine at Farmington.

The association is inviting craftspeople from the area to participate in the show. The fair’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale must be originally made, and no flea market or articles made elsewhere will be accepted. Acceptance into the fair is at the discretion of the association board. For more information, people may call 778-6967.

GOP fund-raiser

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington College Republicans are holding a Thanksgiving turkey fund-raiser raffle on campus for troops overseas in Iraq and poor families in Maine. Items in the raffle include a handmade red, white, and blue fleece blanket made by Krystal Loucka, a UMF freshman, and 10 free movie passes.

Tickets can be purchased any day this week from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in UMF’s Olsen Student Center. Tickets are $1 per ticket or $5 for seven. For more information on the Maine College Republicans, visit the Web site, www.mainecr.org.
