FARMINGTON – Laura B. Trask, 94, of Kingfield and Farmington, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Orchard Park, Farmington.
Born in Kingfield, Jan. 14, 1910, the daughter of Gilbert and Alice (Abbott) Boyce, she was educated in the Kingfield School System, graduating from Kingfield High School in 1930.
She married Ralph E. Trask on Oct. 24, 1931 in North Anson, and he died April 9, 1977.
She was employed for many years at the H.G. Winter and Sons Mill, Kingfield, in several departments, including the attic and enamel shop.
She was a longtime member and past noble grand of Carrabassett Rebekah Lodge #123, I.O.O.F., of Kingfield and received the Declaration of Chivalry. She was a member and past president of Sterling Past Noble Grands Club of Kingfield. She also was a member of the Kingfield Farm Bureau Extension organization.
In 1984, she left her Kingfield home, of over 50 years, to reside in Farmington. She received a great deal of enjoyment from cooking, sewing and a variety of other crafts, beano, and her family.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands; Virginia and Burchell Morrell, of Farmington, and Dorothy and Donald Rollins, of Augusta; a son-in-law, Phillip Ware, of Fairfield; grandchildren, Michael and Patricia Morrell, of Bow, N.H., Marisa Morrell and Cynthia Dowd, of Richmond, Scott and Kathy Rollins, of South China, Carolyn Rollins, of Industry, and Randall Ware and Tina Mason, of Augusta; great-grandchildren, Connor and Spencer Morrell, Jacob, Simon and Tyler Rollins, and Sierra Ware; a sister, Alice McLaughlin, of Kingfield and Boca Raton, Fla.; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her special family at Farmington Court Apartments.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Benjamin; a daughter, N. Joan Trask Ware; two brothers, James and John Boyce; and four sisters, Ethel Parker, Sadie Milton, Melvina McLaughlin and Nancy Whitmore.
