LEWISTON – Michael C. Merrill, Sr., 37, of 12 Spring St., died unexpectedly on Nov. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born in Saco, a son of Robert W. Sr. and Veronica M. Leavitt Merrill, Michael worked at Central Maine Power and Deering Ice Cream. He most recently worked at Central Maine Medical Center for the last ten years, a job in which he loved.

Michael enjoyed collecting comics and was very talented with a computer. He also enjoyed spending Sundays with his brother, Stephen. Michael was a dedicated family man and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda J. Miles Merrill, of Auburn; his parents, of Old Orchard Beach; two sons, William Merrill, of Auburn, and Michael Merrill Jr., of Auburn; two daughters, Courtney Merrill, of Auburn, and Sara Burgess, of Casco; one grandchild, Aaron Charles Small Jr., of Casco; three brothers, Robert Merrill Jr., and Susan Knowlton, of Durham, Stephen Merrill and Amy Larrabee, of Auburn, and Mark Merrill and Kate Dumont, of Brunswick; and two sisters, Veronica L. Merrill-Wiest and Zachary Wiest, of Freeport, and Shannon Merrill, of Biddeford.
