RUMFORD – Selina M. Cunningham, 86, with her family by her side, went home to her Lord Friday, Nov. 19, at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Penobscot Street in Rumford.

Born in Rumford, on May 20, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John and Lucy (Buotte) Gallant. She attended Rumford schools. She worked for Diamond National Corp. for several years and then for Oxford Paper Co. in the finishing room for a short time prior to raising her family.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius – St. John Church. Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren and she was devoted to her husband.

She was married in Rumford, on May 29, 1948, to William J. “Baldy” Cunningham who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include two daughters, Marie Curato and her husband, Michael “Dane,” of Rumford, and Gloria Aron and her husband, Michael, of Harpswell; four grandchildren, Tracy Curato, of Atlanta, Ga., Cara Curato of Rumford, Lani Bisson and her husband, Jeff, of Casco, Patrick Aron, of Brunswick.
