AUBURN – The wedding of Mary Verrill and Matthew Poulin was held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 14 at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. The Rev. Frank Murray officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Poulin is the daughter of Thomas and Ann Verrill of Auburn. Mr. Poulin is the son of Cynthia and George Young of Falmouth.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory strapless gown with fitted bodice, A-line skirt accented with pearls and crystals, tiny buttons fastened down the back, Cathedral train and a veil trimmed with satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis.

A sister of the bride, Betsy Verrill, was her honor attendant and bridesmaids were Amy Spencer and Jane Verrill, sisters of the bride, Abby Poulin, sister of the bridegroom, and Jill Orndorff, friend of the bride.

A friend of the bridegroom, John Costa, served as best man and ushers were Alan Sherburne, David Bouffard and Ryan Labrecque, friends of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at Martindale Country Club, after which the couple traveled to Aruba. They are residing in Yarmouth.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Edward Little High School and graduated in 2002 from the University of Maine at Orono with a master’s degree in speech and language pathology. She is currently employed for the Falmouth School Department as a speech and language pathologist.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Falmouth High School and is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He is currently employed as an insurance agent at Clark Associates.
