RUMFORD – The wedding of Ann Cecile Wood and James Michael White was held at 11 a.m. on July 10 at the home of Vincent and Marie Caruso in Rumford. Joseph Sirois, friend and notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. White is the daughter of Catherine Bergeron of Lewiston and the late Rosario Bergeron. Mr. White is the son of the late Frank and Yvonne White.

Dwayne Wood, son of the bride and Lionel Poirier, godfather of the bride, gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of white organza with halter top, A-line skirt, split back, beaded embroidery and Cathedral train. She carried a cascade of red roses, white freesia, Stargazer lilies and pink miniature carnations.

Jennifer Lemay was matron of honor for her mother and bridesmaids were Marie White, daughter of the bridegroom, and Nancy Wood, daughter of the bride. Kaitlyn Lemay, granddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl.

Raymond Chabot, friend of the couple, performed the duties of best man and usher was James White Jr., son of the bridegroom. Jordan Parent, grandson of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the American Legion Hall in Rumford. The couple is planning a trip to Florida at a later date. They are residing in Rumford.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of Monmouth Academy and a 2000 graduate of Mid-State College with an associate degree in accounting. She is employed as a bookkeeper at Roland’s Drywall Inc. in Sabattus.

The bridegroom is a 1972 graduate of Rumford High School and a 1974 graduate of Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute with a degree in building construction. He is employed as superintendent of the Mexico Water District and is owner of Legere’s Locksmith. He is also on the call force for the Rumford Fire Department.
