LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday for Emile Picard at Sacred Heart Church following prayers at The Fortin Group Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The Rev. Frank Murray officiated. Committal was held at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Ouellette, Eric, Brian and Craig Gagnon, Jess Smith, and Ryan Wilkinson.

Philip DeSoto

JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors was held Friday, Nov. 19, for Philip DeSoto at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, preceded by prayers at Finley Funeral Home, Livermore Falls. Officiating was Father Richard Senghas. Eulogy was given by his son, Philip DeSoto. Hymns were sung by the Resurrection Choir under the direction of Therese Therrien. Military members were under the direction of Richard Therrien. Firing Squad members were Eugene Pomerleau, Laurent Brochu, Palmer Hebert, Harvey Sabin, Bob Roy and Adrien Legere. Honor Guard members were Cleon Cook, Roland Giguere, Dick Smith, Raoul LaPlante and Dick Moreau. Flag was presented to the family by Don LeSuer. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.

Yvonne St. Laurent

LEWISTON – A committal service for Yvonne St. Laurent was held on Friday, Nov. 19, at the Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Greenleaf recited the committal prayers. Pallbearers were Ryan and Brandon Campbell, Christopher and Rodney Footer, Jay Rodrigue, and Tom Ertle. Arrangements were under the direction the Pinette Funeral Home of Lewiston.

Carla King-Graves

MONMOUTH – Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m., for Mrs. King-Graves at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, Monmouth. Officiating was the Rev. Peter Mars. Soloists were the Just for Fun Quartet singing “Love at Home” and “Ride the Chariot.” “Let it be” was sung by a friend, Mark Michaud. Pallbearers were Pete Parker, Jim Tims, Mike Labbe, Carl Mason, John Brennan, Tom Smiley, Shawn Malone, and Mike Partridge. Interment in Pleasant Point Cemetery in North Monmouth.
