AUGUSTA – Rose Aimee St. Amand, 90, of Glenridge Drive, and formerly a longtime resident of Pleasant Hill Road, died Sunday, Nov. 21, with her family by her side at Maine General Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Glenridge Drive after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston, on Aug. 30, 1914, the daughter of the late Charles Morin and Clara (Pelletier) Morin.

She was employed by Etonic Shoe Co. for 11 years. She had been a shoemaker at several area shoe manufacturers from age 16 until her retirement in 1986.

She enjoyed sewing and knitting.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Cushnoc Senior Citizens, Happy Family Senior Citizens, past president of VFW post of Augusta Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies of St. Anne Society, past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, past president of the Snowshoe Club and past president of ACME Snowshoe Club.

Her husband, Raoul St. Amand, died on March 1, 2002.

Surviving are four sons; Richard St. Amand and his wife, Carole, of Augusta, Gerard St. Amand and his wife, Betsey, of Enfield, N.H., Donald St. Amand and his wife, Brenda, of Bangor, and Sylvio St. Amand and his wife, Debbie, of Montclair, Calif.; one daughter, Patricia Goral and her husband, Richard, of Barnstable, Mass.; one brother, Oscar Morin and his wife, Cecile, of Augusta; a daughter-in-law, Cindy St. Amand, of Hollis Center; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert St. Amand, and Reginald St. Amand; three brothers, Conrad, Lionel, and Ernest Morin; and a grandson, Stephen St. Amand.
