BRIDGTON – Karen Harding of Bridgton Hospital has been named secretary of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Society, New England Region.
The registered nurse is a board-certified wound care specialist and coordinator of the Wound Center.
The society is a professional organization supporting its members through research and education as well as clinical opportunities. Its goal is to advance the practice and guide delivery of expert health care to individuals with wound, ostomy and incontinence issues.
The Wound Center opened in June 2004 in the clinic wing of Bridgton Hospital. In addition to Harding, board-certified wound care specialists Dr. Anita Patt, general surgeon, and Dr. Michelle Kurlanski staff the clinic.
