NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – An alderman wants to take Mayor Bernard Streeter’s keys away after he was charged last month with leaving the scene of an accident in Manchester.

Paula Johnson has asked the Board of Aldermen to direct that Streeter only be allowed to use a city car for city business. She would ban personal trips in the car, including driving to and from work.

Police say Streeter struck a taxi last month while driving a car owned by the city. The cabbie reported Streeter swore at him and drove away.

Johnson says Streeter shouldn’t be using the car for personal travel. On the day of the accident, he was in Manchester meeting his family at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – Police are reviewing a videotape that apparently shows a month-long vandalism spree.

Three teens were caught with the video on Sunday after police got a report of a car being vandalized in the city.

Portsmouth investigators are asking police in surrounding towns about vandalism to see if they can match any reports with incidents on the tape. They say communities believed hit include Rye, North Hampton, Portsmouth and the Maine communities of Kittery and Eliot.
