PORTLAND – Foley’s Bakery announced that two new locations have opened in Scarborough and at the Pineland Farms visitor center in New Gloucester.
“Now with three more locations we can offer our fresh baked breads, cakes and pastries to a broader audience. We have already hired 17 new employees versus this time last year, and will probably add a few more in the next few months,” said owner Andy Wright.
It is anticipated that the addition of the two new locations will add 18 to 20 jobs consisting of three management positions, eight to nine baking positions and seven to eight retail sales positions.
The new bakery at the Pineland Farms visitor center will offer a new premium line of fresh baked breads made from high-protein whole wheat that is certified as being chemical-free. Breads will include honey whole wheat, farmhouse white, cheddar garlic, cinnamon chip, onion dill rye and cinnamon raisin walnut.
