ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Zach Randolph scored 20 of his 27 points after halftime and Damon Stoudamire had 16 points and eight assists to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to an 89-83 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Randolph twice hit a tie-breaking basket in the final three minutes, and his free throws with 34 seconds remaining put the game away. He shot 10-for-23 and added seven rebounds.

Hedo Turkoglu led the Magic with a season-high 27 points, and brought Orlando back from a 66-56 deficit late in third quarter. Scoring 13 of the Magic’s next 19 points, his 3-pointer put the Magic ahead 75-71 with 6:17 remaining.

With the game tied at 79, Randolph hit a layup with 2:48 remaining. After Grant Hill responded with a jumper, Randolph came right back as the Blazers started a run of eight unanswered points.

Portland has beaten Orlando 11 straight times.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 14 rebounds to go with his 12 points for Portland.

Hill, the Eastern Conference’s player of the week, scored 11 points for the Magic, as did Steve Francis and Dwight Howard.

But Francis, bothered by the flu and Stoudamire’s tight defense, shot just 5-for-18.

And Howard, dogged by foul trouble, had his nine-game streak of double-figure rebounding end with six. The last rookie to open his career with such a streak was Shaquille O’Neal, also in a Magic uniform, in 1992-93.

Kelvin Cato had 11 rebounds and five blocks for the Magic.

Orlando lost its first home game in five contests this season, and lost for the first time in four meetings against Western Conference opponents.

Notes: Orlando guard Cuttino Mobley missed his sixth consecutive game with a strained groin.
