PERU – A Peru man was indicted Friday on felony charges that he used a motor vehicle to criminally threaten three females.
An Oxford County grand jury indicted Merle A. Lufkin, 24, on three counts of reckless conduct for allegedly using a dangerous weapon – a motor vehicle – to recklessly create a substantial risk of causing serious bodily injury to three females on Sept. 16 in Peru.
He was also charged with three counts of criminal threatening against the trio, and assaulting one of them.
Additionally, Lufkin was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault stemming from an incident on Sept. 15, during which he seriously injured a man.
