AUBURN – First Auburn Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Hasty Community Center, Pettengill Park. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. There will be a pot of gold drawing and the monthly raffle. Tickets for the Martindale Christmas dinner will be on sale and following the bag lunch, bingo will be played. Members enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner at Martindale Country Club on Nov. 17 and were entertained by the musical duo, the Mansons. Winners of the pots of gold were Guy Donohue, Rita Marquis, Joyce Poole, Lucille Rybeck, Kay DeBurra, Annette Lee, Blanche Welch, June Ellery, Barbara Hinkley and Ray Tassanari.

Association party

AUBURN – The National Association of Insurance Women – Androscoggin Valley will meet Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Martindale Country Club, Beech Hill Road. The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 5:45. The program will be the annual Christmas party, and members should bring a wrapped Christmas ornament to exchange. The National Association of Insurance Women (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry. Stevens lunch

LEWISTON – Stevens Life Member Club, Telephone Pioneers, will hold its next luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Ramada Inn. Fellowship will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon followed by a short business meeting. Members and guests are asked to bring donations of nonperishable food or monetary gifts for the needy. Reservations are required by Friday, Dec. 3.

Blood drive

WINTHROP – There will be a community blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Lake Street. The need for blood in Maine is always critical, especially during the holidays. The drive is open to all donors. Identification card or license is required.
