NEWRY – The wedding of Katey Lorraine Bisson and James Patrick Meserve was held on Oct. 2 at a covered bridge in Newry. Angela Innis, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Meserve is the daughter of Raymond and Kathleen Bisson of Mexico. Mr. Meserve is the son of Frederick and Edith Meserve of Norfolk, Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown of Duchess satin with crystals and embroidery on the bodice and beneath the wrapping overskirt and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of 24 burnt orange Calla lilies.

Maia Dumas, friend, was maid of honor and Lani Bisson, sister-in-law, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Dawson, cousin, Jessica Brown, friend, and Marion Caldwell, sister-in-law.

Serving as best man for his brother was Frederick Meserve and ushers were Jeffrey Bisson and Rori Caldwell, brothers-in-law, and Jason Brown and George Cummings, friends.

A reception followed at Sliders at the Jordan Grand Resort at Sunday River in Bethel, after which the couple traveled to Killington, Vt. and Foxwoods. They are residing in Bangor.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. She is employed in human resources at Sunbury Primary Care in Bangor.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Greenville High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is employed in sales at Snow and Nealley in Bangor.
