My hat is off to all those involved with giving the flu shots at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 20. Perhaps I should also include those at St. Mary’s, but I can only attest to what I witnessed at the Multi-Purpose Center.

There were hundreds lined up early to receive their inoculations. This, on a cold morning, knowing that it would begin at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doors opened at 7:30 a.m.

Those who directed the operation put in use a near-perfect procedure. From those taking the registrations to those administering the vaccine, it was a smooth and truly professional venture.

I must also commend the men in front of the building who guided the parking and assisted those requiring assistance getting out of or into their vehicles as well as those needing wheelchairs. In addition, the personnel greeting and ushering the recipients were extremely courteous and efficient.

The only negativity came from a few individuals who failed to realize that prerequisite requirement was a medical form from their physician.
