LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Nov. 23 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Dick Horne and Nancy Lindgren; second, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; third, Les Buzzell and Richard Amsden; fourth, Luke Merry and Jeanine Kivus.
Flight B winners were: first, Roger Briggs and Lucille Bilodeau; second, Doug and Betty Sise. Winners in Flight C were: first, Doug and Betty Sise; second, Marta Clements and Emily Cooper.
Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Multi-Purpose Center. A partner is guaranteed.
There was no game held at Schooner Estates on Nov. 24. Another game will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Schooner Estates. For more information and/or a partner, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
Advent service
AUBURN – The Court Street Baptist Church will conduct Tuesday noon Advent services starting Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the church. Guest pastor will be the Rev. Jon Stratton of the Second Baptist Church of Bowdoinham, who will give a sermonette.
Organist will be Charles Marshall Jr. of the West Auburn Congregational Church. Don Nason will provide special music with his saxophone.
A home-style meal will be served after the sanctuary service. Donations of $3.50 will be asked to cover the cost of food. Those wanting more information should call 784-6661.
