LEWISTON – The Woman’s Literary Union, 19 Elm St., will hold its annual Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3, 4 and 5. The clubhouse is the former Horatio G. Foss Mansion.

Rooms of the clubhouse will be decorated depicting life from the Victorian era to the present.

Doug Davenport of Hair Grafix, assisted by Peter Brodeur, plan “A Christmas Remembered” in the main room. Also in the main room Tonie Ramsey will have a table of Christmas gift baskets.

The dining room will be in blue and white “Snow and Ice” by Melanie Ness. Tonie Ramsey’s “Christmas in Purple” will be in the library. The Garden Club of WLU will decorate the solarium. Marilyn Wilkinson will decorate the grand staircase and foyer with poinsettias and garlands.

Cathy Westleigh, WLU president, plans a Norman Rockwell Christmas for the upstairs hall. An upstairs bedroom will be an early 1900 theme, “A Visitor at Christmas,” done by members of WLU. Ivy Cottage with “A Maine Christmas” as its theme will decorate the Edward Little Room.

The public is invited. Admission is $6 for adults; $2, age 6 to 12; and children 5 and under will be admitted free. Proceeds help the club to maintain the clubhouse in its original style. Refreshments will be available.
