FARMINGTON – The SAD 9 Music Department has announced the December concert dates. The concerts are the culmination of the music department’s performance ensembles’ first trimester for the elementary, middle and high school choruses, orchestras and bands.

The choral program includes student musicians in grades five through 12. Directors are Jane Parker, Andy Buckland, Jim Perkins and Carol Shumway.

The band program also serves student musicians in grades five through 12. Karen Beacham and Darryl Pike serve as instrumental directors, assisted by Anne Geller.

The string program serves student musicians in grades four through 12. Directing that program are Nancy Beacham and Steve Muise.

All SAD 9 concerts are free and open to the public.

The concert schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., Mount Blue High School concert, Mount Blue High School.

Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m., Mount Blue Middle School concert, Mount Blue Middle School.

Monday, Dec. 13, at 6:30 p.m., Weld School concert, Weld Town Hall.

Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., Cape Cod Hill School concert, Cape Cod Hill School, New Sharon.

Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m., Cascade Brook School concert, Mount Blue High School.

Thursday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m., Academy Hill School concert, Academy Hill School, Wilton.

Monday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m., snow date, TBA.
